Galvanized or coated?

Bare galvanized steel is the budget choice. Coated fabric, usually black, looks much better next to a home and resists rust longer. Coated posts and rails finish the look.

Can chain link give privacy?

Only partly. Slats cut the view, and they add wind load, so the posts need to be sized for it. For real privacy we usually point people to another material.

What about businesses and job sites?

For a business we spec heavier gauge fabric, bigger terminal posts and wide drive gates, swing or rolling. Taller fences may need city review, so we check the zone first.

Chain link for side yards and lots

Chain link is the usual choice for a side passage, a back lot line or a commercial yard. In a front yard it is held to the same height limit as any fence.
